Technology

At Confecciones Millar S.A.S. we firmly believe that the growth of a company and its people goes hand in hand with the implementation of new technologies that allow us to be more efficient and therefore more competitive.

We have been certified several times by Microsoft for compliance with the legal software licensing of our software park. In addition, we have replicated servers to prevent work interruption in case of failure of them, as well as procedures for safeguarding information both locally and in the cloud.

Here are some examples of cutting-edge machinery we have in the production area, as well as some characteristics of our IT systems.

Type of machinery

We have approximately 600 industrial sewing machines.

95% of this machinery is electro-pneumatic, which makes operations much more efficient and of better quality.

We have a large stock of guides for all types of machines and a wide variety of sizes.

We have automatic finishing filleting machines, left-cutting hemming machines with an upper transport system to obtain a better finishing of the garments, Juki 9000 flat knitting machines with the latest technology and they leave the garment totally polished.

We have electronic press brakes, which facilitate any type of operation required by the customer.

Type of machinery

In a clothing manufacturing company, the compressed air system is essential for the operation of much of the machinery. It is also the most energy-intensive system in this type of plant. This is why Confecciones Millar acquired a state-of-the-art KAESER compression system consisting of 3 compressors in parallel: two fixed speed and one variable speed for optimum efficiency. The needs of the plant could be covered with two of the three compressors, but what we are looking for here is to have a backup in case a compressor has any problems and thus ensure the reliability of the garment plant.

We have electronic press brakes, which facilitate any type of operation required by the customer.

This compressed air plant is automatically managed by a master controller (Sigma Air Manager) with 4.0 technology and Artificial Intelligence that records analyzes, and controls in real-time, thus regulating the system's operation and anticipating how to achieve optimal efficiency, to minimize energy consumption.

Additionally, we also have an oil-water separator (Aquamat), which allows us to separate the traces of oil from the compressor condensate and properly dispose of them, preventing them from going into wastewater.

Software ERP

We work with the SAYA ERP system, which operates in a web environment, allowing our employees to work from anywhere in the world. This system controls purchases, production, payroll, sales, inventory, and accounting, generating great global stability and optimizing our internal processes. In this way, we minimize our execution times, allowing us to deliver to the client in record time.

We have servers, which are constantly guarded to ensure the continuity and traceability of information.

Optitex Fashion Design CAD Software: PDS and Marker with Nest ++ Pro Multicore v.19 Technology.

We have the latest version of this well-known software in the textile and fashion industry, both for pattern making (PDS) and for automatic nesting (Marker) which includes the advanced Nest++Pro algorithm for optimizing fabric usage, minimizing waste (offcuts).

Floor control software

We have the support of floor control software (SAMMU) in the production plant, which is a web-based platform that allows us, through an App installed on mobile devices (Smart Phones or Tablets), to collect, analyze, and document production data in real-time. This allows us to control the plant's performance and rectify any deviations from the planning as soon as possible. It also allows us to measure efficiencies based on the set goals, as well as unproductive times, mechanical stop times of the machines, and monitoring of the quality of our products.

Predetermined Time Engineering Software

We also have an MTM (Methods and Time) software for the Engineering and Production area called ETC (Engineering True Cost), which is a pre-determined time and motion system (PMTS) designed specifically for the garment and fashion industry. It allows us to quickly and accurately determine the time and costs associated with individual operations and complete garments in a matter of minutes instead of days.

Furthermore, the database that is created allows us to standardize our methods and, through the analysis of our specialists, optimize them to be increasingly efficient and competitive.
